This 1857 map shows what was historically known as Emerald Hill and Sandridge with the area later becoming a part of South Melbourne, Port Melbourne and Albert Park. The map also shows both the Sandridge and St.Kilda rail lines, built by the former Melbourne and Hobson's Bay Railway Company in 1854 and 1857 respectively. I'll post a 1966, 1984 and 2015 Melway map of the same area in the comments section. Photo: State Library of Victoria
