What do you do all day?
Dinosaurs are a popular part of Montessori lesson plans. To engage in some dinosaur discussions i made up this Dino land. The base is a terracotta pot plant saucer which i covered in fish tank pebbles. For the volcano you will need a plastic bottle and some sand. Then add some plastic dinosaurs For our little science experiment we used a funnel into the plastic bottle and added about 1/2 cup of Bi-carb soda and a squirt of dish washing liquid. Have you ever wanted to watch a rock melt? Have you ever wanted to see a liquid crumble? Then you need to get your hands on some cornstarch, and start blurring the lines between liquid and solid. For this experiment we used an entire 16oz box of corn starch. We added the cornstarch to the mixing bowl a quarter cup at a time, slowly mixing in water until it was well mixed.
