Some of the European and UK shows we played. The Horus Club in Rome was amazing.Pulling up in a train at Circo Massimo and seeing huge posters advertising the show running right along the subway platform was very cool. And NOBODY entertains the artist like Italian promoters.5 course meals before every show.Had to have 2 doppio espressos just to get out of the restaurant seat to get to the show!
One of the first Homebakes, that year we went to Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne. The crowds at all the shows were sensational.Won't ever forget those shows they were something else.No more Homebakes ever again. So glad we got to be a part of it while they were around.Joe Segreto and his crew did an amazing job and helped so many Australian bands. Thanks guys and sorry it had to end.
Back when the BDO was at the Moore Park showgrounds. We were on the same stage as Rancid and The Dirty Three. The Dirty Three filled the pavilion with their incredible sounds that were pure madness and pure beauty. Rancid were great but I couldn't let myself get spat on like that.I am sure it's the politically correct thing to do at a punk show and each to their own etc but really it was just plain rank.
