Two days before Australia Day in 2004, NASA’s Opportunity Rover landed on Mars. This little "rover that could" was only intended to undertake a three month mission, but 2014 marks a decade of research. Opportunity sends data from her scanners and sensors back to Earth, including to our Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex, for scientists to analyse and interpret what it tells us about Mars past and present.
