If I am completely honest this country girl is missing the 'field and craving a windmill or a country lane to get bogged in. But being the eternal Pollyanna I went searching. Something quite incredible about first light over the city. Brisbane City at dawn. #startthedaywithsomethingbeautiful
Bougainvillea will forever remind me of Brisbane. I love this lilac shade just as much as the burgundy. Such pretty colours. Just have to see John John off at the airport today as he sets off for a three month adventure, then will be happy to be heading home to Tenterfield. #startthedaywithsomethingbeautiful
I used to love these old trees when I lived in Brisbane and still do. The old Moreton Bay Figs were always a perfect place to find some shade and usually a place to lean whilst I watched the dogs run round like lunatics. They almost seem prehistoric and another time when I wish something could talk. Imagine the stories their magnificent old trunks could talk. #startthedaywithsomethingbeautiful
Have come to Brisbane for a few days to spend some time with Nicko and Dad and John John before he heads off on his three month trip to wherever. No plans, just three months, first stop Bangkok and then he is playing it by ear. I will miss his dearly. In reality Brisbane is so close to Tenterfield being only 4 hours or so but it always feels like a different world. The colours are different, so signs of autumn and memories of Tiney are everywhere. I have always loved pink and pretty…
If I thought yesterday's sunrise was pretty, today's is stunning. Loving these Brisbane mornings and even though it is the middle of winter it feels like summer - preparing us gently for summer in the USA!
