Tagasaste, or Tree Lucerne. Drought tolerant, evergreen tree with deep taproots able to access water even in dry summers providing valuable fodder when pastures are dry. Very attractive shade tree or can be grown as a hedge to provide windbreaks. Fragrant white flowers attract bees and birds in spring and the roots provide valuable nitrogen to depleted soils.
A breath taking show stopper when in full flower, Crepuscule translates from French as twilight, after its softly glowing orange, apricot and yellow flowers. The almost thornless stems will straddle any vertical frame, reaching up to 4 m in height.
