Play Activities to try during Lockdowns
With half of Australia now in some form of lockdown, the days can be long at home, especially if children are home too. Keeping them entertained for longer than a minute can be difficult, so we wanted to share some play activities that could hopefully help in your home.

A fun play setup to do during lockdowns and whilst being home with the kids
Time for some arts and crafts!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lockdowns mean more time to get creative! The concept of classifying and sorting objects

Rock Painting Kids Activity
We aim to engage communities worldwide in fun, fitness & creativity by painting rocks and either selecting to:⠀ a) Head outdoors and Hide them in playgrounds (only) OR⠀ b) Decorate them as a fun activity and keep the rocks (place them in your backyard or gift them to a special friend)⠀ Whichever option you decide – feel free to join in and share your wonderful creations with us!⠀ Read more on our blog about how to get involved!

Animal Alphabet Matching
Grab some animals or other objects already in your toy collection and some letters (in this image the Nesk Kids Wooden Alphabet Letters were used) and have your child match the object to the letter. It’s a great way to practice looking at the letter and thinking about letter-sound relationships.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Colour matching is such a great activity for little ones and so easy to organise. Here I drew a rainbow for Miss 4 and well as you can see, she did the rest :)
