Tristin Lowe’s colossal sculpture Mocha Dick is a fifty-two-feet-long recreation of the real-life albino sperm whale that terrorized early 19th-century whaling vessels near Mocha Island. Koshiro Onchi was an innovative, independent, and charismatic artist, a central figure in 20th-century Japanese printmaking. Onchi's experimentation in sôsaku hanga("creative prints") inspired several generations of artists. Koshiro Onchi was an innovative, independent, and charismatic artist, a central figure in 20th-century Japanese printmaking. Onchi's experimentation in sôsaku hanga("creative prints") inspired several generations of artists. Making their usual colorful appearance at the show was Finnish textile brand Marimekko, who displayed rhombus-shaped swatches of the new season’s fabrics across the walls of their booth like a giant psychedelic jigsaw.
