Christmas tram in St George’s Road circa 1970, on its way to West Preston. This tram – W7 class 1024 – was one of the advertising cars used in traffic by the Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board (M&MTB).  It was a tradition for the M&MTB to decorate one of its trams to celebrate the festive season.  Photograph from the FOHTD collection.
