Carlton Hotel, Maryborough, Qld.

70 Ellena Street, Maryborough. The first pub built on this site was the Ballarat, built in 1868. When the street was widened it was moved back and a second storey built. The Ballarat was demolished and the two-storied solid masonry Carlton built in 1939 in the classic hotel style of its time, with tiled exterior walls and internal features characteristic of the pre-war period. www.livelifehappy.com.au/admin/uploads/PubTrail
