'Sunrise over Uluru' - Whilst planning a family visit to Uluru for 2018, I was inspired by some amazing photos taken of the sunrise and sunset over Uluru and wanted to capture that warmth and majestic awe and beauty in my design.
'My Network' - a nod to traditional wirework skills in millinery. I chose to work with only 2 materials, wire and tulle, to highlight there can be complexity in simplicity. Underpinning the design is a message of support. from the tulle netting being supported by the wire frame, to the four faces who represent the women who have supported me and I them.

'A Dragon's Tale' - My entry for the 2015 Myer Millinery Award at Melbourne Cup Carnival was inspired by nature and a little fantasy. I have often thought the foliage of Cook Pine trees looked like little scaly dragon tails. This piece represents that idea. I knew I wanted something that swirled around the wearer’s head that could be viewed at any angle and had the look of being alive without being too literal. Each of the 200 feathers were meticulously measured, cut and wired into place. Nature, Dragon Tail, Dragon Tales, Melbourne Cup, Alive

'Yin yang' - Light and Darkness - a world balanced. The Yin yang koi fish represent the convergence of opposite energies. They counterbalance one another. One male, one female. Day and night. Sun and moon. Fire and water. North and South, etc. They are the duality and harmony of life itself. And, they were my interpretation of the theme 'counter balance' for the 2022 Design Award.
'Papillon' - This piece was inspired by the beauty and symmetry of moths and butterflies. The gold V pattern is to represent a pattern of a moth found in my local area, and often drawn to my studio lights on late night making sessions. The shape represents the wings encasing, almost cocooning the wearer. 115 feathers were cut to size, hand painted with gold paint and attached to the shape.
