Lock on the locker cages on the side next to the library. ISO is set on 200 and exposure is on 1.0. When you first look at the photo is see many different things such as the rusted locker cage and how the lock itself is worn out. I like how the lock is off centred. The focus of the photo is good, because it is focused on all the right places, especially how the locker cage is blurred at the bottom of the picture, adding to the background.
Dead rose plant in the garden outside of the library. Macro mode turned on. ISO 200, white balance turned off. The photo came out okay, however there are some improvements that could be made. For example, the focus I felt as the photo didn’t really capture the texture of the plant as much as I would like it to. I do like the how the photo was interesting.
Rose in the garden outside of the library. Macro mode turned on, ISO on 200, white balance turned off. The eye is drawn to the flower because it is in focus and also of how it is positioned, it isn’t in the middle but more towards the left. The rose is really clear, you can see the two different colours, the pink mixing in with the white colour, and it stands out because the background is green and blurred.
Photo of a tree down near the Marian Centre. The photo is taken vertically with the macro mode turned on and exposure set on 1.0. ISO is of 200. When you first look at the photo you are firstly attracted to the dark place on the tree because it stands out. I like this as there are many shades of colour, from dark brown to an almost off-white colour. I also like the texture where you can see a lot of detail such as the bark peeling away from the trunk.
Photo taken of the steps outside of the school’s gym. Macro mode turned on and ISO is of 200. The photo overall is good because it has so many different aspects to it, for example, the background has a completely different texture and colour compared to the one in the front. I liked how the line of green pops out and separates the two other aspects of the photo. Since there are so many aspects to the photo, I feel like there is a main point to look at, it might be a little confusing to the…
Close up shot to the metal benches near the amphitheatre. Macro mode turned on and ISO is of 400, with the exposure on auto. It is a simple photo and is interesting because symmetry of the many lines all going towards one place. This makes the eye look towards to where they end, it looks as if they will all meet up a one point.
Photo of tree down near the Marian Centre. ISO is set on 400 and macro mode is turned on, with exposure set to 200. This photo is good because of the rough texture of the bark peeling away from the tree, you can see some have been peeled off completely and some that are nearly about to fall. I also like the different shades of colour, how some parts of the tree is dark and some are like, it is really pleasing to the eye.
Picture taken in the grass area in front of the dance room. ISO on 200 and exposure set to 1.0. The end product of the photo is simple because of how the eye is attracted to the plant in the middle as it is a lighter colour and has a different texture to the background. I like how the plant isn’t directly in the center, but is slightly higher up in the photo.
Close up shot of leaf in the rose garden next to the library. Macro turned on and ISO is of 400. Exposure is set on auto. When you look at this photo, you eye is instantly looking at the leaf as the background is blurred. I like how that the leaf isn’t directly positioned in the middle but towards the upper left hand corner. I also like how you edges of this leaf isn’t smooth and how you can see all the veins on this leaf but it still has a specific pattern to it.
Cactus plant outside of the Food Tech room. Macro mode turned off. ISO on 400, white balance is on auto. The eye is first attracted to the cactus plant, the photo turned out to be really clear and detail, as you can see each individual spike on the cactus plant. Also, I like the texture in the photo as there is the spikiness of the plant but also next to this is a much softer and rounded plant to compliment it.
Rose in the garden outside of the library. Macro mode turned on, ISO on 800, white balance on auto. Once you look at the photo, the eye is drawn to the flower because it is in focus and also of how it is positioned, it isn’t in the middle but more towards the left. The rose is really clear, you can see the two different colours, the dark pinkish red mixing in with a pale pink colour, and it stands out because the background is green and blurred.
Tree bark outside the science room, 601. Macro mode turned off, exposure 1.0. The ISO 200, white balance turned off. This photo is good because of the rough texture of the bark peeling away from the tree, you can see some have been peeled off completely and some that are nearly about to fall. I also like how you can see each and every detail on the tree.
Tree trunk behind the library next to the new student learning centre. Macro mode turned on, exposure 1.0, ISO of 100. The photo is simple, yet it is interesting because of all the detail you can see and how you can tell that the bark has been stripped off on one part of the tree. This can be told because of the different colour changes throughout the tree, where one part is lighter than another.
