Explore Markus Zusak, The Book Thief, and more!

It’s just a small story really, about among other things: a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. . . . Set during World War II in Germany, this is an unforgettable story about the ability of books to feed the soul. Very interesting take on a harsh period of history.

The Book Thief, Markus Zusak, is a historical fiction novel set in Nazi Germany. Told from the perspective of a personified version of Death, The Book Thief is a outstanding and unique story that shows what it's like to be alone and afraid.

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet by Stieg Larsson. The story was such a twisted soap opera by this book that my interest shut down and tuned out. Bummer after the first 2.

Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy Bundle: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest -- Loved this trilogy by Stieg Larsson! Movie adaptations (Sweden & U.S.) did a great job bringing "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" to the big screen. Looking forward to the watching the rest now that I've finished the books.
