Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Marcus M. Cherry  Died April 6, 2004 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom  18, of Imperial, Calif.; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; killed April 6 by hostile fire in Anbar province, Iraq.

They always get a picture of the girlfriend or wife of the soldier, instead of a family member. I love this picture. It shows how much a father is proud of his son and it truly melts my heart.

Never forget

My dad proudly served in the US Army. My mom was presented the flag at the cemetery.
