The truth of the matter is that shelter animals make great companions, just ask the thousands who adopt them every day! Breaking News! Lily is now available for adoption. The sweet, four-month-old Labrador mix arrived at the shelter on July 5, 2014, with painful and horrific burns on her back. She received emergency treatment from the Houston SPCA veterinary team and then went into a foster home to heal from her injuries. As you can see, her wounds have healed very nicely and her fur is growing back. We are open until 6 p.m. today. Learn more about how you can adopt Lily at www.HoustonSPCA.org.
Meet Tucker. He and his five littermates came to the Houston SPCA. His brothers and sisters were quickly adopted. But no one ever looked at this intensely shy little boy. He was left all alone. We were not going to give up on Tucker. Our Animal Behavior Coordinator worked one-on-one with him helping build his confidence and trust. Today, Tucker is blossoming but he still needs a home. How can you help? Donate. Adopt. Foster. Please share and help us, help them. www.houstonspca.org
