Boggle

Boggle- This is by far the most popular in my room. I got this amazing activity from Create-Teach-Share and my kids go bananas for it. I just change the letters weekly to reflect our spelling pattern focus and they go on a word making frenzy. LOVE it!

Story bags. Fill bags with random items, have the children use them to come up with a story. How fun and using lots of imagination :)

Could use for whole group or writing station.Story Bags - put a few random items in a paper bag, and kids can write creative stories about them! (Could have 1 kid each week be responsible for bringing in items)

Overused words bulletin board! The overused word is on the fry container... each fry is a word to use instead! SO COOL!!

More descriptive words interactive word wall. Can also use french fry idea as counting sticks and word families! Kids love this!

Guided Reading ... Each group gets their own clipboard that has a sheet attached to it with book, reading assignment, writing response, cool words to look for, as well as the members of the group.

Each group gets their own clipboard that has a sheet attached to it with book, reading assignment, writing response, cool words to look for, as well as the members of the group. Good for any group assignment in other subjects too

Daily 5 check in, I love this idea but I was going to use magnets to move my groups around, but this would work too.

daily five check in. You could use different subjects for high school student. Maybe give your student a clothespin for each section to take off once they have done that activity. They could put the clothespins in a jar.

D5 freebies (write it/stamp it, write it/rainbow write it, write it/build it, etc.)
