E6J Jumeau. Pressed bisque/wood/composition. Ca. 1885. This early Jumeau manufactured by Emile Jumeau is marked with an incised DEPOSE E6J. Her body is marked JUMEAU ME’DAILLE D’OR PARIS. Pressed bisque, blue threaded eyes. Emile Jumeau was the second son of Pierre Francois Jumeau and took over the Jumeau porcelain factory near Paris, France after his father retired around 1878.
