The Campus Kitchen at Troy University recently received the Community Impact Award at the Food Waste and Hunger Summit held at the University of Arkansas. The Community Impact Award honors a Campus Kitchen that has made "a measurable impact on food insecurity in their community and has put in the effort to track their outcomes." The Kitchen was recognized for starting and sustaining three community gardens and providing nearly 7,000 meals to those in need.
