These are the questions that Dan Romain explores in his explosive action thriller, The Quaker State Affair. As the book opens, it becomes obvious to the American security forces that China is racketing up worldwide tension as a prelude to attempting to take over as the world's most powerful nation. Reaction by the American President escalates the tension as he implies that America has an alternate energy source which would make oil obsolete.

“I have not read any other books in the Samuel Roberts series, but after reading The Wiccan Witch of the Midwest, I have already added the other three books to my wish list on Amazon. This is a smaller book—think cozy mysteries—but there is a great, entertaining story. I would definitely recommend it for those that like their mysteries with a little paranormal twist.” THE WICCAN WITCH OF THE MIDWEST by Scott A. Lerner | Camel Press

We Were Liars by e. Lockhart. 3 of 5 stars. Read this in a day. Most of the book has that normal - yet - off feeling that one gets at the beginning of a horror movie. We know something bad happened, but what? Cadence thinks she has amnesia and headaches because she hit her head on rocks while swimming. But spending time with her cousins, Mirren and Johnny, and their friend Gat jogs her memory enough for her to recall the truth. Recommend to 9th grade and up due to mature moral dilemmas.

how terrible experiences can leave a lasting impression

Poet Diana M. Raab travels to the heart of Africa with her family to experience the beauty and fascination of another world. During her safari, she observes the distress, the delight, and the dignity of the humans and animals who live there and parallels them with her own quest for health.

Diana Raab shared her experience with her family as they did a tour of Africa. The result was Listening to Africa. She penned what she thought, felt and heard around her and how it all reflected where she was in her own life.

This is a groundbreaking young adult novel.
