Astilbe in a border. Most of the astilbe plants that I have seen around here in Raleigh, have very feathery flowers but some of the varieties can be quite showy such as this “country and western” astilbe with almost chenille like flowers shows.

Cool colours and beautiful textures with small leafed Westringia and Santolina(?) by Secret Gardens of Sydney. Not only do fine-leaved plants withstand heavy coastal winds, but they look great when mass planted adjacent to other fine-leaved plants.

This will be so pretty when the plants mature and drape hither and yon. If they planted food in those beautiful beds, we'd be happier ...
