Road Trip from Oregon to California: Bend and Crater Lake - Making Thyme for Health
13 Upstate New York gardens open to the public you have to visit
365 THINGS TO DO -- DAY ONE: Find The Stone VW! HINT: The Stone VW is in Freeville, NY near Ringwood Road. This hidden landmark ROCKS! It was built by Stephen Gibian in 1976.
365 Things to DO – Day TWO HUNDRED FORTY: One of my favorite places to walk/jog is the South Hill Recreation Way. This 3.3 mile gravel path meanders through residential neighborhoods, meadows and woods, crossing several deep ravines, with views across the Six Mile Creek gorge. It passes through the Mulholland Wildflower Preserve. Hiking paths lead off the biking trail into the gorge. http://www.traillink.com/trail/south-hill-recreation-way.aspx
The gorgeous is back in the gorges. The Cascadilla Gorge Trail from Linn Street to Collegetown. This dramatic trail ascends 400 feet in elevation, and within 3 minutes you'll forget you’re in downtown Ithaca. Magical. Originally built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC.) During the Great Depression this young army built trails, stonework, overlooks, bridges here.
