Viking ring fort and settlement, the Shetland Islands, Jarlshof, Scotland. It has been described as "one of the most remarkable archaeological sites ever excavated in the British Isles". It contains remains dating from 2500 BCE up to the century CE.
The Israel Museum Permanent Galleries. This letter, dating to the First Temple period, contains one of the earliest references to the Temple (the "House of God"). Found in the fortress at Arad, it is addressed to Elyashib, the fortress commandment.
This Phoenician-style pillar was re-erected after being discovered lying on the Nuweiba beach. In Hebrew it says "This monument is erected by King Solomon, king of Israel, in honor of Yahweh in commemoration of the crossing of the Red Sea.
