Front opening with button fastening at neck and hooks at slightly high waist; long sleeves, full at top with vandyked cuff; skirt with apron or fall front fastening with tapes. Flounced hem piping to shoulder seams, cuffs and hem flounce. Bodice lined in plain white silk. Alteration made; piece of plain white silk let in under arms. Probably re-modelled from a dress of slightly earlier date." 1820 (circa)
