Breakfast at Conacul Bratescu is amazing! Homemade food, fresh ingredients, traditional dishes and... the best home cooked bread we've ever tasted! And delicious jams, lots of delicious jams! And by the way, coffee always comes with a piece of homemade cake, absolutely delicious and always different :) So drink plenty of coffees at Conacul Bratescu :)
Grape Tart - A hearty, lightly sweetened oat crust supports rich vanilla pastry cream and fresh red and green grapes in this unique fall dessert. Create a pattern on top of the tart with the different colors of grapes.
Parisian boulangerie on the streets of Le Marais neighborhood. Simply love those crunchy croissants, the jams, the salty butter, the coffee and those gorgeous macaroons! Actually, anything related to a typical Parisian breakfast is perfect for us! Parisians usually do not eat much at breakfast, normally just a coffee and a pastry product, but oooh, those pastries! Killing us softly! Crunchy croissants, pain au raisins, pain au chocolat, chausson aux pommes, mmmm, delicious!
Breakfast at home, with delicious latte machiatto and homemade cookies (jam cookies in the left part of the picture, chocolate cookies in the right part). These jam cookies are actually very popular in Romania, and are usually filled with plum jam, a local specialty :) Our grandparents always have stocks of plum jam or plum marmalade. Yup, these are different :)) The marmalade is harder in consistency, while the jam is more liquid and sweeter.
We had the best breakfast in Praslin Island (Seychelles) at Chalet cote Mer. Waking up in the morning and enjoying a delicious coffee and some really generous and healthy breakfast was the best part of the day! Loved that corossol (soursoup fruit) jam, it was so different and so tasty!
We said it too many times already, but can't help saying it again! Italian food it's our favorite cuisine in the whole wide world! Not only the pizza and pasta, famous all around the world, but also the fresh ingredients they use, the tasty bread and focaccia, the fish, the amazing tiramisu!
Cypriot food on Mackenzie Beach, Larnaca - Cyprus. Delicious hummus, halumi cheese, tzatziki and onion bread. Cyprus has a really interesting cuisine, as it is a mixture of Greek and Turkish cuisine, with many other European influences. But they always use fresh products, fresh vegetables and amazing spices like pepper, cumin, coriander or oregano. Love this amazing country and its great cuisine, and we would go back there just to have a hearty lunch :)
These lovely cakes (similar with some tea biscuits) are typical Romanian sweets which our grandmothers used to make us when we were children. They are filled with jams (usually plum jam), and they taste heavenly! We've tried these ones at Hadar Chalet, they have the most amazing Romanian food ever! Totally recommend them!
