For our “Pick” this week I would like to highlight two wonderful early lamp bases that I have recently put out for sale. The smaller and earlier of the two is cut pressed glass with a brass stem and marble base. The larger lamp has a lovely milk glass base. This is a great opportunity for a collector with some extra lamp burners to get a early lamp at a reasonable price.

We are back with lots of new treasures. This week our “Pick” is a fabulous Antique Oil Lamp with a hard to find “Clambroth” glass base. This lamp probably dates back to around 1860 to 1870.

Japanese Satsuma Ginger Jar - This week our “Pick” is another treasure from a far off country. It is a beautiful hand painted Japanese Satsuma Ginger Jar. This lovely earthenware vessel is adorned with resting figures, Japanese text and gilding. While it is not antique it is a very attractive piece and shows the great skill of the artist who created it.

With the new Star Wars movie coming out it’s the perfect time to highlight this complete set of vintage Burger King Return of the Jedi Glasses. See Princess Leia as Jabba the Hutt’s Prisoner, Luke and Han Solo fighting their way off of Jabba’s Sail Barge, experience the final battle between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker and party with the Ewoks once again. It’s hard to believe that these glasses are over 30 years old. It does show the staying power that some collectables have, especially…

This week we have a great Turned Milking Stool to highlight. I believe it is made of elm and poplar and dates to around 1890-1920. It was restored by a previous owner and they did a pretty decent job. The top measures 14″ and it stands 16″ tall just right for milking that cow. But if you don’t have a cow it is great for a child’s seat or a handy extra seat in the shop or rumpus room.

This week for our “Pick” I’d like to show everyone something that will be coming to the shop very soon. It is a beautiful Victorian Dining Table. This table was in terrible shape when I purchased it. The extension mechanism was completely broken and the finish on the top of the table was sticky. Some one had done a bad finish over job on the table and the finish they put on was not compatible and never dried properly. So I have installed a new extension and carefully stripped the top.

Our “Pick” this week is another hard to find item. It is a very collectable, antique, maple, Gate-leg, drop-leaf table in it’s original finish. The table stands 10 1/2″ high and the top measures 15 5/8″ by 21″ when fully open and 15 5/8″ by 8 1/4″ when closed. There are some rings and light stains on the top; these only add to the charm of this adorable little table. Salesman’s sample furniture is a wonderful collectable for the furniture lover.
