Jung- the wrong answers to life

The other disagreement btw Freud & Jung. Jung believed religion (or spirituality) was important to the development of the human psyche, otherwise, there was a constant seeking. I like both men, considering their intellect, yet Jung has a good point.

The Undiscovered Self by Carl Jung, Mentor, 1958 (cover by Robert Jonas) book cover

The ego wants explanation always in order to assert its existence...Try to live without the ego. Whatever must come to you, will come. Don't worry! ...Don't allow yourself to be led astray by the ravings of the animus...He will try every stunt to get you out of the realization of stillness, which is truly the Self. ~Carl Jung, Letters Volume 1; Page 427.

Ego's explanations appear rational but if we pay attention, we can spot its glaringly childish beliefs though the seams.
