1873 Boy's Dress Culture: English Medium: wool, cotton, pearl Twilled wool, woven in green, blue, black and yellow tartan on red ground. Bodice lined with white twilled cotton. High round piped neck. Front in one section, back in one section each side of CB opening fastening with seven hooks and eyes. Short sleeves in one section, edges piped. Front trimmed bias strip from neck to each side of waist, continuing along waist to side seam. Similar trimming on sleeves.

Dress: ca. 1876, American, pin-striped silk fabric, basque bodice, cut steel buttons, lace, fringe.

1876 - Bustle-style dress of light gray and white pin-striped silk fabric, stand-up collar to which a pleated fabric tie is attached; basque bodice has front closure with fourteen cut steel buttons, is fitted in front and extends below the hip.
