Brian Pilcher wins #Dipsea, the oldest US #TrailRace, at age 58. The youngest runner was 7 years and the oldest was 81. The Dipsea 7.4 mile course runs a quarter-mile on road before charging up 688 stairs and continuing to climb to just after the first mile. A wild, mixed trail and road crosses into Muir Woods, where runners begin a long, arduous climb through thick ferns and over root-strewn trail and over sections called “Hogsback” and “the Rainforest.”
