Celtic Galicia: The bagpipe, which the Galicians call "gaita galega," ("Galician gaita" in Galician) is a staple in all of Galicia's fiestas.  It's similar to the bagpipes found in Scotland & Ireland, but w/ some subtle differences. The "drones" (which produce the sound) are  different in type & number to the British & Irish, as are the ways in which the pipes are carried & displayed. Galician "gaitas" have only 3 drones & the colors & patterns of the fabric reflect those of Celtic Galicia.
