{Going down under for our Friday Feature today with Rob Kennon Architects. In this project, I like all the clean-lined millwork, and surprising use of colour.} Anchored to a steep site near the Yarra River, In-situ House has a strong respect for materials. Atypical to the surrounding neighbourhood, it returns craftsmanship and natural materials to the landscape, while still presenting a home of significant scale. It also challenges the typical planning of a Toorak family home.via

This is a really well thought out loft conversion project. We love the simple folded steel shading device around the dormer windows and how the architect has used matching roof tiles to seamlessly integrate the new addition with the existing roof.
