Cachalote (Physeter macrocephalus).  Tamaño: Hasta 20,5 metros de longitud (los machos son mayores que las hembras).  Peso: Hasta 57 toneladas de peso.  Distribución: Cosmopolita, se le puede encontrar en mares y océanos de todo el mundo, prefiriendo aguas profundas en alta mar y a una profundidad de entre 300 – 1.000 metros. No habita  en el Mar Negro ni en aguas congeladas de los polos.
