This is a beautiful mid 19th century dress bodice. Completely hand stitched with hand embroidered flowers on cream silk satin. Pleated detail to sleeves. As fresh and colourful as the day it was made, this must have been carefully stored away for many years. Lined with cotton cambric. Fastens at the back with hooks and loops. Detail
Beautiful antique/vintage hand embroidered silk satin bodice circa 1850
original lady's Ball Gown bodice from the Civil War period. It's made of silk taffeta lined with off-white cotton. The bodice has a front hook/eye fastening. It's sleeves are beautifully made- puffs gathered into little bands like bishop sleeves with a gathered flange over each. The bust is about 35". The waist is about 23.5". It is about 16.5 inches across the shoulders.
