STRIPED SATIN GOWN, ivory taffeta with peach pinstripe, front lacing bodice with narrow over elbow length sleeve, back havin.

original lady's Ball Gown bodice from the Civil War period. It's made of silk taffeta lined with off-white cotton. The bodice has a front hook/eye fastening. It's sleeves are beautifully made- puffs gathered into little bands like bishop sleeves with a gathered flange over each. The bust is about 35". The waist is about 23.5". It is about 16.5 inches across the shoulders.
