Died of injuries sustained when the KC-135 aircraft he was in crashed near Chon-Aryk, Kyrgyzstan while on a refueling mission for Afghanistan war operations. According to reports the plane exploded in flight and broke into pieces in midair. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
