Unknown American Maker, Alabama Crib Quilt (Strips, Bars and Blocks) ca. 1945 Cotton 59 1/4 in. x 40 in. Gift of Kempf Hogan believed to have been made in Tuscaloosa mid-20th century... exemplifies improvisation by incorporating strips, bars and squares to create a unified whole. The quilt is double-sided, so that a pattern shows even when the quilt is folded back upon the crib.
