The Kermode Bear, or Spirit Bear: a sub-species of the American black bear. Only found in what is known as the Great Bear Rain Forest located in west-central British Columbia and a few adjacent islands.
Those bears are actually called kermode bears and do to a double recessive jean, some turn out white. You can only find them in British Columbia although you can see one in Calgary zoo in Canada called manuka.
The Kermode bear (pron. kerr-MO-dee), also known as a "spirit bear" (particularly to the Native tribes of Alaska), is a subspecies of the American Black Bear living in the central and north coast of British Columbia, Canada.
