Post-Production: We used Adobe Premiere Pro in order to create our music video. This enabled us to edit our footage into the correct sequence so that the performance and especially narrative makes sense. This additionally allowed us to apply various tools and techniques to enhance our video. Evaluation: We also used Premiere Pro in our Evaluation Question 2 that was a director's commentary based on the relationship between our final media products.
POST PRODUCTION: Adobe Premiere Pro- We used Premiere Pro to edit the different shots that we needed to create the video. Also using the different effects such as colour correction and shot transitions allowed us to build the narrative more clearly. Through the different tools, we were able to complete different drafts and gain feedback from them to bolster our final draft.
Evaluation: We tested Google Forms in our Evaluation Question 3 which is to do with audience feedback where we would collect data from our survey based on our final products. This enabled us to understand what peers thought of our products and whether we have succeeded or not.
PRODUCTION: Three Way Colour Corrector-This was used to heighten the brightness of specific shots that we believed were too dark. Particularly when our actor walked down the hallway, we tried to add brightness so that it makes the scne much more clear and foreshadowed the mood of that scene as the actor walks to his door to receive bad news. Upon receiving feedback, we changed the lighting and it made our narrative much clearer in several places.
DEVELOPMENT/ PRE PRODUCTION: Twitter - I used twitter to tweet the artist asking his permission to use his song. I also used Twitter to look at his page and the type of things he tweets and look into the type of events/shows he performs at.
RESEARCH/ DEVELOPMENT/POST PRODUCTION/ FEEDBACK & EVALUATION: YouTube - We used YouTube to upload our drafts of our music video, this not only enables us to see the development of our product but also allowed us to show to an audience and receive feedback. We embedded and uploaded this onto our blog. I used this to research and look into what a star is and what genre I want my media products to be. I used YouTube as a searching tool to find our final song by looking through Ed Sheerans…
DEVELOPMENT: Voice Thread - We used voice thread to upload our research of our chosen genre and talk about it in our group. When making our indie rock voice thread we were then planning on using a different song of a different genre. Voice Thread allowed us to make a presentation with a detailed script.
PRESENTATION/ DEVELOPMENT: Edublogs - I used my blog to post and keep record of my work throughout each process of research, planning, production and evaluation. This enabled me to view my progress and show the stages it took to create my media products. To insert my work or feedback I uploaded and embedded it into the blog and wrote an introduction and conclusion in each post, I also tended to record what I did to create this product or my response to the feedback.
FEEDBACK & EVALUATION: Vine - This form of social media we used to receive feedback. It was useful as my production group an I were able to get quick feedback and only serious changes which was needed was said. With this we embedded it into our blog and this enabled us to refer back to the feedback on the next draft.
PRE PRODUCTION: Scanner - I used the scanner on the printer to email myself work which I had done by hand. I did this so I could upload it onto my blog and keep it for future reference.
PRESENTATION/ RESEARCH AND PLANNING: Snipping Tool - This is a Microsoft tool which allowed me to take screen shots of only what I wanted not the whole screen. This enabled me to take screenshots of images for my mood boards and Pinterest pages. This also made my blog look neater as I used this tool to take an image, saved it then uploaded it to my blog and then copied the link of the PDF document there for it was not just a simple link and looked more visually pleasing.
PRODUCTION: Spotify - When filming our performer to make him feel more comfortable also help prompt him on the lyrics and timings of the song we played the song on Spotify. This would also help us when it came to editing when we synced his lips to the lyrics as his timing would be accurate and it would be less likely to have stumbles and mistakes in the performance shots.
