Exquisite Canopic Jar from the New Kingdom

Discover this exquisite canopic jar made of limestone, inscribed with the name of the royal courtesan MANUWAI. Dating back to the 18th Dynasty during the reign of Pharaoh Tuttmosis III (1479-1425 BC), this jar was found in the tomb of the pharaoh's three foreign wives. Currently housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
