Fanny Wyman - Danvers, Massachusetts - 1799 Group of samplers was worked in neighboring towns of Danvers & Salem in late 18th, early 19th centuries. may have been one teacher. Sampler is a new discovery belonging to this body of work. The composition of the sampler, with its wide borders of open-blossomed flowers on leafy vines & low basket of fruit is almost identical to that of a sampler also made in Danvers & in the collection of Winterthur Museum
