Snow mold happens as snow melts and appears as a straw like patch in the grass and may either be gray or pink. These areas need to be raked to remove any existing thatch. The damage is usually not that serious, although it looks very bad when you see it. Please keep an eye out for it. Re-seeding may be necessary to restore the health of your lawn. Power raking, Spring aeration's and fertilization are a must this year.
