Ch. 8 - In this chapter it snows which is a big deal in Maycomb, Alabama. Jem and Scout build a hermaphrodite snowman. Miss Maudie's house catches on fire and while Jem and Scout are watching Boo sneaks a blanket around Scout. Jem spills the beans to Atticus
19 : Tom Robinson is called on to speak. He tells the jury that Mayella tried to kiss him and he pushed her back not wanting to get in big trouble. We learn that Bob Ewell, Mayellas father has had a sexual relationship with his daughter

Ch Jem and scout walk past mrs dubose house everyday and she is always on the porch. she yells at them and calls Atticus a negro lover. Jem gets mad at breaks her camellias and he has to read and do work for her. then she dies.
Ch.3 - The chapter starts off with Scout beating up Walter for getting her in trouble even though it wasn't his fault. Jem walks by and tells Scout to stop and invites Walter for lunch, Walter hesitates but say's yes. Atticus talks to Walter very respectfully and Scout yells at him for covering his food in syrup, Scout is forced to eat in the kitchen.
Ch Mayella testifies, and her account of the incident changes repeatedly. She is very upset while being questioned, and thinks Atticus is mocking her because of his manners. Tom stands up and we learn he is crippled.
