Ch 13: aunt Alexandra has arrived and intends to stay for a long time to teach them more manners. She quickly becomes part of the town social life and is very proud of their heritage. Scout does not understand why she's proud and aunt Alexandra forces Atticus to tell them why they should be proud which only provokes scout to cry.
