Snowshill Manor, Gloucestershire, was the property of Winchcombe Abbey from 821 until 1539 when the Abbey was confiscated by King Henry VIII during the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Between 1539 and 1919 it had a number of tenants and owners until it was purchased by Charles Paget Wade, who restored the property, using the manor house as a home for his collection of objects. He gave the property and the contents of this collection to the National Trust in 1951.

Sudeley Castle Garden, Gloucestershire - Henry VIII's last wife, who outlived him is buried here. It is her last home. She had a daughter, not by Henry, but by her husband after Henry (whose name escapes me), and the daughter is sadly lost to history. I don't believe, from what I've read, that what became of her is known....sad....
