The PAST, Spirit of PA, and Lights Out Paranormal Investigators were allowed access to the 1799 Lazaretto, along with members of WMMR's John DeBella radio show. This is one of the surviving tapes from an investigation by LOPI.
The Philadelphia Lazaretto on Tinicum Island - 1799 Erected by the city of Philadelphia's Board of Health, the Philadelphia Lazaretto Quarantine Station on Tinicum Island was built largely in response to the city's 1793 yellow fever epidemic. (The Board of Health itself was created in 1794, also in response to the epidemic.) The Lazaretto was designed to quarantine infected travelers headed for Philadelphia by ship.
