The people that work at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, have extraordinary dedication to orphaned elephants and rhinos! Many of these orphans have been traumatized, after watching their parents killed. When they arrive, each orphan gets caretakers that stay with them 24/7, including sleeping with them. The loving keepers become substitute "parents", giving the babies the best possible chance of survival, and good mental health.

The men and women that work at The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT), have such extraordinary dedication to orphaned elephants and black rhinos! Get involved, support them by sharing this post & for those can, please donate or adopt a baby elephant.

With Mother’s Day coming up for our US and Canadian supporters, we wanted to recognise elephants who make one of the animal kingdom’s most amazing moms! You can celebrate your mother by giving the gift of life and foster one of the orphaned elephants or rhinos in our care, who have tragically lost their own mothers at http://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/asp/fostering.asp

Imagine your mother being shot in front of you when you are so young you don't know what a gun is but you feel the pain and grief for years.

The pain these animals feel breaks my heart. 😢 Imagine your mother being shot in front of you when you are so young you don't know what a gun is but you feel the pain and grief for years.
