Ettore Graduated in 1939 with a degree in architecture. In the he worked in New York with George Nelson—an experience that led him to shift focus from architecture to design.

Ettore Sottsass architecture is blunt and bold and his use of colour is sexy! (Which is what he intended)

Ettore Sottsass- In 1985 he announces that he has left Memphis. Ettore returns to architecture at Sottsass Associati where he also completes numerous industrial design projects.
