HMS Donegal  as a hulk c1840 by W.LWylie. She was originally a French 74 gun ship of the line named Hoche. She was the flagship of the French force sent to invade Ireland in 1798. The French forces were bought to battle off Troy Island on 12/10/98. Hoche was captured , renamed HMS Donegal and took into service. Served upto 1811 when she was reduced to ordinary. Was later bought back into service and served upto 1830. Broken up in 1845.
