Texas Sea Grant Project Helps Shrimp Fishery Save Sea Turtles

The Texas Sea Grant Program has teamed up with the university's Institute for Applied Creativity to create a semester-long internship position that will use videos to address topics surrounding weather, water and climate change.

Two Texas A&M University programs have partnered to help explain climate change issues facing the state.

Congrats to doctoral student Kaitlyn Schroeder-Spain for being selected as a 2015 John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellow. She will travel to Washington D.C. where she will be matched with an executive branch agency or congressional office for a year-long fellowship.

Hosted by the Texas Sea Grant College Program at Texas A&M University and the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, the Second International Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle Symposium will feature perspectives from both sides of the international border with Mexico.  An international symposium to showcase the latest research and the status of the world’s rarest sea turtle, the endangered Kemp’s ridley, will be held November 18-19, 2014, at the Brownsville Events Center in Brownsville, Texas.

The Guy Harvey Scholarship Award supports students who conduct research related to the biology, ecology, habitat or management of fish in Florida.

The Best Macaroni Salad *i tried to make this as a single portion and substitute the mayo for Greek yogurt. It turned out really liquidy and I didn't add nearly enough pickle and too many noodles. I don't think I'm going to make it again but if you follow the recipe to a T it seems like it would taste awesome. The Greek yogurt was too sweet and I don't think it was dense enough.
