PK0209. Bisbee. Arizona. The legend of Bisbee dates back to 1877 when army scout John Dunn found rich copper ore samples in mule pass. Because Dunn was in the Army, he was forbidden to stake a claim. To get around this, Dunn grubstaked a man named George Warren, a first-class alcoholic and miner. Together they opened the Copper Queen Mine. The town however was named after Judge DeWitt Bisbee, a company shareholder, who never visited the town.
