The original McDonald's menu. There just was no fast food. We would pack our own and take it with us. The first fast food was the A&W Rootbeer stand. Didn't eat at McDonald's till I was in High School.and then had to go to another town.

Dime Store - Love the wood floors and the shopping baskets---brings back memories! The dime stores I remember always smelled good, too! Tucker's 5 & 10 was awesome but I loved the ones with creaking wooden floors too

Gold rock gum

There’s gum in them their hills! You get 2 ounces of real Gold Bubble Gum Nuggets in a little cloth miners bag. Do you remember this novelty candy in old fashioned Dime Stores? I do, I remember getting a bag of this gum when I was young.

My mom would get one that the local drug store every year. She used it to write her work ours in.

Did you ever shop here?  My grandmother and I rode the bus to Woolworth's to buy her sewing notions when I was a little girl.  Had lunch at the soda fountain every time we went.

Woolworth's--Oh, I remember this store with fond memories. After shopping with my Mom, we would have something at the lunch counter and I would twirl on the stool.
