Spruce Tree House at Mesa Verde National Park: Colorado: In the 13th century, Anasazi or Ancestral Puebloans built 130 rooms and eight ceremonial chambers (kivas) in this 216-feet-long and 89-feet-deep cliff dwelling. Groups of 60 to 80 people lived here and farmed corn, beans, and squash.
