Leilaloum: a women’s Easter dance done in the region of Karvali, Cappadocia. In Karamanlidika, “Leilaloum” means: my flower or lilac-sweet. This dance was done after the Agape service until the Ascension and was continued to be danced in Nea Karavali, Kavala by Cappadocian refugee to the region. In the past, the dance had been performed during other occasions such as Epihpany. The dance was typically done in an outside courtyard with the song sung by the dancers.
